75 Latin American media selected to move on to the next ​​stage of Velocidad

We are pleased to announce the 75 digital media entrepreneurs who will advance to the next stage of the Velocidad ​​selection process as semi-finalists Velocidad.

We received more than 350 applications from every country in Latin America. After an exhaustive review, we completed this first round of the selection process.

Applications were evaluated based on the application criteria published on the Velocidad website, as well as other criteria, including the size and maturity of the digital media project, the relevance and impact of its content on its community, the local context, audience, and its position in the media ecosystem in the Latin America region. We also sought to ensure that there was diversity in the countries represented by the 75 semi-finalists.

In addition to congratulating the founders and teams at the 75 media semi-finalists, we want to thank all of the applicants for their participation. The amount and variety of media that applied to Velocidad demonstrate the diversity of the entrepreneurial media ecosystem in Latin America.
